My daughter has been attending BVM since Kindergarten and she is now a 6th grader. We’ve been a part of BVM for 7 years and counting.
We decided to send our daughter to BVM 7 years ago. We attended at least 3 open houses for schools in Delaware County to observe each school’s curriculum, their teacher to student ratio, tuition cost, and overall environment. It was important to select a school in which our daughter felt comfortable and excited about attending. We wanted a school that also had appropriate disciplinary practices in place while focusing on safety. My husband and I also preferred a faith based school for our daughter. I definitely wanted the school to have STEM programs in order for my daughter to attend.
BVM became our choice, based on our desired criteria previously mentioned. I have been pleased for 7 years with the support we have received from the BVM family, especially from the late Monsignor, Corley. He was an amazing person and his effects are still evident throughout BVM and Delaware County. The teaching staff, Sister Virginia, Neva from the Rectory, Mrs. Mahon the administrator, and Mr. Dan, the dedicated Maintenance person, are all wonderful and are consistent with their dedication. Everyone will go out of their way to rectify a situation in which any student or parent may have a concern about. During this pandemic, BVM stayed ahead of the curve and the students were given their assignments, assessments and were graded accordingly. The staff was available for questions and assistance. During this, “Flexible Learning,” I could not have been more proud of my child being a BVM student. I feel confident that she did not lack anything academically. I would like to thank everyone at BVM again for their dedication and I would definitely recommend BVM to other families
